This Little Piggy goes to market
Did I ask how do time manage to slip past me? It apparently did and will continue to do so. And because my life is an extended holiday, I am going on a holiday again. Yes, yet again. This time I am going to Korea. Yes, to eat all their kim chis. And this time with my whole family. What about Chinese New Year ? you asked. Yah, what about Chinese New Year? I still can't bring myself to celebrate chinese new year without my father. So we are all going away. All 6 of us. Now, wait a minute, where do the 6 come from? Yah, I know, I don't talk about all of them all the time because, frankly, their lives, like mine, are Boring. Capital B, that it. But I love them.
Travelling with my family can be such a pain in the ass. Well, in a good way at least you know you still have an ass. And a big one too. Packing takes forever. I mean mine took like at most 1/2 hour. Throw in a credit card and you know that you probably won't get too bad. But mum takes days to pack for a 6 day trip. As if we are off to Somalia to fight for human rights. Or whatever. I think I will pack some bread, instant coffee, fruits, 15 undergarments, and 10,000 mositurizers. I mean I can understand her point of view, better bring EVERYTHING since there are 5 other people to carry my bags for me. I might even bring my Ikea bookshelf if I were her. Or the vacuum cleaner.
The thing about travelling is that you get to try their way of life. Eat the food they eat. Shop in the place they shop. And of course falling into tourist traps. Mum has so many diet restrictions that she ends up eating everything. Yes, you heard me right. I can't take sweet stuffs, I don't eat beef, too much msg. Then you order a single portion of what seems to be the most delicious thing on the menu, then she goes, wah look nice, you can't finish that, I will help you. It is your fault. Then we will end up ordering a second helping.
But travelling with family makes me appreciate life. The life of freedom that comes with travelling alone. I can't complain anymore and I shouldn't cos mom is paying.
Off to the airport with my bookshelf and 10,000 moisturisers.
